“The happiest day of my life was when I was accepted into medical school, because it was my first step toward being able to care for people. I became interested in interventional pain medicine when I saw the many benefits it afforded patients who were suffering from chronic pain, cancer and other pain-related conditions. My residency training in anesthesia gave me a valuable insight into the various interventional techniques for treating pain, and my subspecialty fellowship training in pain management helped me enhance my skills in this highly specialized field.
